Management of service Providers

As an asset light organization, G4PL is an impartial coordinator and manager of service providers.
Upon establishing and agreeing with our client on their critical-to-quality outputs(CTQs), we align our functions to fullfill these CTQs. Armed with the customer requirements, KPIs, standards and government/state regulations we create a set of rules that applies to all service providers in a respective sector. We take responsibility of the quality and as a backup we underwrite any element of negligence that may arise in the process. For example, we ensure that there is carrier's liability cover and/or Goods in Transit Cover, Fidelity Guarantee etc with a reputable regional underwriter. We ensure suppliers meet health and safety standards etc. In this variant model, G4PL acts as an integrator thus allowing the client to re-allocate resources and concentrate on their core business rest assured that service providers are complying and are delivering under fair competition.

Vehicle / Equipment Inspection

As a neutral coordinator with clear KPIs, expertise and a vivid appreciation of HSE significance, G4PL does not compromise equipment standards. Equipment must be fit for purpose. From onset, service providers are vetted on a particular set of pre- requisites
Equipment is also inspected using a comprehensive check list and a clearance given on per trip basis. Spot checks on supplier workshops are also done.

Fleet and Yard Services

Located in Bweyogerere industrial Park, G4PL's fleet and yard storage services are currently hosted on a vast piece of land; which is gated, well fenced and secure. This outdoor storage yard facility is perfect for storage of trailers, containers or any weatherproof goods.
The yard's strategic location (close to Jinja road highway & Northern by-pass) offers easy access to the city and a link to various road networks. Therefore, upon request G4PL tailors its clients' needs to suit required specifications.

Route Surveys

Aimed at improving efficiency and safety of Land transport operations, G4PL carries out research on routes which data is used by clients to make informed decisions on Journey management. G4PL will advise on what resources to use (crew, type of vehicles, fuel), commendable routes and safety measures to be applied on particular routes.
As a result our clients are able to establish direct and most cost effective routes, as well as improve land transport operations efficiency.

Transport Services

In a bid to improve it's transport efficiency, in July 2014, G4PL took over the management of Road Freighters Ltd, a trucking company that is formerly part of Spedag Interfreight group. By acquring this trucking arm, G4PL has been able to improve it's reliability, responsiveness, vendor service management, quality control and truck crew training.

Logistics / Supply Chain Consultancy and Training

With a wealth of experience in the organization and the numerous regional/worldwide contacts,G4PL is the one stop shop centre for logistics and supply chain information or training solutions. The team at G4PL has had both academic and years of practical experience in the field of logistics and Supply Chain Management. Some team members have also been lead World Bank consultants from time to time in this field. Consultancy and training can be arranged from customs brokerage to Supply Chain Audit

Fleet Contract Management

As a solution integrator for various third party logistics providers (3PLS), G4PL acts as a single window for freight negotiations and management on behalf of the client.
We ensure that all freight movement, storage, billing, etc. is done in accordance to contract. Such areas include supplier invoice audit, delivery schedules and terms including payment terms.
